Lounging around in 100 degree water, hiding from the freezing temperature above (although the high daytime temp WAS above freezing and it was a beautiful cloudless day) with winds blowing 10-15 mph across the water. Absolutely relaxing and delightful. Spending it with Dan made it all the more special, second only to if all of you were here too (okay, all of you? That'd be one heck of a party...)
Dan treated me to a very special three-course birthday dinner at the Lava Restaurant on premises. The fanciness belied only by our fellow diners in their terrycloth robes. We would have been too if we didn't need to catch the bus thereafter but rather were headed back into the lagoon.
We are much more thrilled than we look - yes, we are getting a little tired at this point!
So so so cool!! 😍 gosh looks like you really had fun regardless of 30+ hours awake. That excited euphoria of the first day, just don't drive or make any important decisions. (I'm grinning like an idiot here)

ReplyDeleteThank you guys! It was the absolute perfect start to the trip and made for a really amazing birthday. Didn't even feel the exhaustion until the end of the day. Euphoria will do that for you. Would have loved to have you here as well, a big ol party at the Blue Lagoon!!
